Little Holidays

We visited Sani Resort last year with our 2 year old little.

We wanted to go somewhere not too far away, so the flight time of under 4 hours was perfect, and we managed to pack enough things in her carry on case to keep her amused before we landed.

I’d read lots of amazing things about the Sani Resort, and our stay exceeded all our expectations.

We wanted to go to a child friendly resort, but somewhere that still felt like the holidays we used to go on before we had a child, and I would say Sani is the perfect combination.

Firstly kids under 12 go free…tick!

Secondly the resort feels like a boutique high end resort, and yes it is very geared up for children of all ages, but didn’t feel like we were staying in a kids resort.

The rooms are modern and spacious. We stayed in a room with a private terrace and garden which was great once we had been out for dinner, as we could come back and put our little to bed, and still have a few drinks whilst she slept inside.

We went half board and the food was AMAZING. Lots of different restaurants to choose from, so you never felt like you were eating the same food every night, and you can also choose to have dinner in the restaurants on the other Sani resorts, which are all within a 5 min golf buggy ride! My only advice would be download the app before you go and make reservations at the restaurants before you go. As generally everyone there is with kids so the early slots get booked up, so book what you can before you go, and book the rest when you arrive to ensure you get to try all the gorgeous restaurants.

Breakfast was also AMAZING. Again you can go al a carte (book as above), or you can go to the buffet restaurant which we tended to do, as there was so much choice and was so fresh. You could even get a box to take some away with you, should you fancy some fruit or snacks for your little (or you) whilst you’re around the pool or on the beach.

All the kids food is cooked without salt, and in the buffet restaurants there was a whole section just for kids. Freshly cooked fish, meat and vegetables, plus tons of fruit, so lots for them to try and our little loved it all.

Should you want some time away from your littles (we had a couple of afternoons), there is a Peppa Pig Creche, which you do have to pay for if the kids are under 4, but all the staff are British and are fully UK qualified, and our little loved it. Lots of toys, and organised activities and just gives you a break from building sandcastles and swimming, to have some quiet time on the beach, and a few sneaky cocktails! They also have a service called “Babewatch” which is free, where they look after your littles for 30 mins on the beach, again whilst you have a relax.

There is a spa, which we didn’t try, but we met people there who had been and said it was lovely and would definitely recommend.

So overall we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. The resort is everything that we hoped for, and the staff go over and above to make your stay special. It is definitely more of a boutique kids holiday and the price tag reflects this, but if you can pay the extra you won’t regret it.
